DIY Favours: Build Your Own marshmallow Snowman

It’s that time of year again when the kids are madly wishing for snow and making plans for winter break and I am dreaming of a break from the constant germs of school (I am looking directly at you double ear aches). So, what better time than to make DIY favours with build our own marshmallow snowman marshmallow!!

These little build your own snowman cuties take no skill what so ever – just an assembling of ingredients in a bag. And they make great party favours or are terrific to handout at school to wish fellow classmates a good winter break. These rainbow cupcakes have a way of bringing a smile to everyone’s face. When the rainy days of Vancouver set in and the resulting weeks of  grey, our elementary school has their annual Rainbow Day. It’s a simple and fun concept really –  WEAR ALL THE COLOURS!!! So we set about to create a suitable treat for the occasion.

Our final days of grade 2 turned into a bumpy ending and most non necessities had to go. Little Powdered Sugar Doughnut Snowmen Heads

I needed an easy-peasy treat for Peyton’s class to wish them all a nice winter break before we flew the coop early for Florida. I have seen variations of these snowman heads floating around the internet for some time, so on the way home from our errands we pulled into the grocery store and grabbed a couple packs of mini powdered donuts. A smooth start to September is all one can hope for with all the excitement and nerves our little ones can throw at us over the beginning of a new school year. But once the dust settles after those first few days (and before I embark on the mountain of forms and paperwork sent my way), I thought a small treat to welcome everyone back and to their new class might be appreciated.
