Cap and Gown Graduation Lollipops

kids grad lollipops

Every year I like to challenge myself to come up with some new and cute, but fun and edible way for my daughter and her classmates to celebrate year end. Our final days of grade 2 turned into a bumpy ending and most non necessities had to go. But because of our fight to get thru the year, despite unforeseen challenges, I also felt all the more compelled to celebrate. Continue reading Graduation Cap and Gown Lollipops

2017 Top 30 Vancouver Mom Bloggers

It has been a whirlwind of disbelief and happy dances these last few weeks. I could barely believe when I got the email (and the honour) that I had been selected as one of Vancouver’s 2017 Top Mom Bloggers!!!!

I can’t lie, it’s been hard work to create and begin writing my own blog. And all the research, countless googling and youtube videos that begin with ‘how do you…’ searches. But it feels amazing when you get positive feedback for all the hard work and time you have put in.

I write this blog because I have a passion for writing and sharing my love of baking, decorating and parenting with others. I feel this journey has just begun and that there is so much more I want to share and write about. Yet, I want to take this moment to thank you all for your support. For reading my musings and tutorials along the way and showing me some love! So if you feel so inclined, check out some of the other awesome bloggers nominated and maybe throw a vote our way.

Thanks!!

Update: The voting period has now ended.

You name it, she has tried dancing there, without even noticing she was doing so. Continue reading Pretty Birds Nest Speckled Cake

Our children are always on the look out for beach glass and cool shells. So my incredibly talented and creative sister-in-law came up with the fantastic idea that we collect beach gems to create our own fridge magnets! Continue reading Easy West Coast Fridge Magnets

How to Create a Reading Corner

So my life is busy. Just like everyone else. And yet I jumped at the opportunity to help create a multi purpose space in one of the portables at my daughter’s school (yes I can see and/or hear you all shaking your heads in horror for volunteering willingly for such a huge project). But I love design that much and I also love (flying head first into) a challenge and nothing is more fun than decorating for kids!! Continue reading How to Create a Reading Corner
